The Slovenian company EK Water Blocks presented the EK-Quantum Momentum water block2 ROG Maximus Z690 Extreme D-RGB – Plexi for liquid cooling in gaming desktops.
The novelty was specially designed for the ASUS ROG Maximus Z690 Extreme motherboard, which supports Intel processors in LGA 1700 (Alder Lake generation). The water block uses the proprietary EK Velocity architecture2: Heat is dissipated not only from the core chip but also from the VRM area.
The solution is compliant with the EK-Matrix7 standard, which assumes that the height gain of products or the distance between ports is 7mm. The base is made from a nickel plated electrolytic copper plate and the top is clear acrylic. We are talking about high heat removal efficiency, even when using low-power pumps or low-speed pumps.
The water block received a multi-color addressable D-RGB backlight based on 20 LEDs. It is fully compatible with ASUS Aura Sync technology, allowing you to customize and sync effects through the motherboard.
Taking orders for EK-Quantum Momentum2 ROG Maximus Z690 Extreme D-RGB – Plexi has already started: the price is around 250 euros.
