A trial version is available for download and review at PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, as well as the Nintendo Switch. For the Nintendo hybrid console, the demo can only be seen in the store on the device itself.

The demo version contains training for the castle siege, which includes both attacking and defending the castle. The editor also allows you to create custom officers that can later be carried over to the full game.

Remember that in Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires users are offered to conquer ancient China by combining tactics and battles. The developers promise dramatic changes in terms of combat compared to previous versions.

The Western release of Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires is expected on February 15th on PC (Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and Nintendo Switch. The game debuted in Japan on December 23, 2021.
