The team of former US President Donald Trump (Donald Trump), despite previous information, can launch the social network Truth Social as early as next Monday, February 21. The agency announced Reuters with reference to one of the project managers.
To the questions of users of the resource who participated in the beta test, the product director of Truth Social under a verified account, nicknamed Billy B., answered: “We are currently preparing to launch in the Apple App Store on Monday, February 21.”. The launch of the project will allow former US President Donald Trump to return to social media, where he was mostly banned following the January 6, 2021 riots in Washington. Last Tuesday, his eldest son tweeted a screenshot of his father’s message about the new resource: “Get ready! Your beloved President will see you soon!”.
Truth Social is being developed by Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG) led by former US House Representative Devin Nunes. Previously, he made several public statements that the launch of the platform was delayed until the end of March, but this week he actively communicated with the few users of the new social network, urging them to subscribe to each other, post photos and videos. He also personally welcomed the new user, who turned out to be a Catholic priest, and invited him to invite his colleagues, other members of the clergy, to the resource.
As Reuters noted, last Wednesday the client application Truth Social had the version number 0.9, but it has since been changed to 1.0, which can also be seen as an indirect indication of the imminent launch of the project.
