The most notable thing about the published configurations is the lack of a mandatory requirement for an SSD – in the past claimsthat Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is only possible thanks to the PS5 SSD.

However, without an SSD on a PC, you won’t be able to see a PS5-level image in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. The system requirements for playing without tracing are as follows:

Minimum requirements (720p, 30 fps, very low graphics settings)

  • Operating system: Windows 10 (64 bit, version 1909 or newer);
  • Processor: Intel Core i3-8100 or AMD Ryzen 3 3100;
  • Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 or AMD Radeon RX 470;
  • RAM: 8GB;
  • Storage space: 75 GB (HDD, but SSD recommended).

Recommended Requirements (1080p, 60 fps, medium graphics settings)

  • Operating system: Windows 10 (64 bit, version 1909 or newer);
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600;
  • Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 5700;
  • RAM: 16GB;
  • Storage space: 75 GB (SSD).

“High” requirements (1440p at 60fps or 4K at 30fps, high graphics settings)

  • Operating system: Windows 10 (64 bit, version 1909 or newer);
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-11400 or AMD Ryzen 5 5600;
  • Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 6800;
  • RAM: 16GB;
  • Storage space: 75 GB (SSD).

    A release with system requirements appeared on Steam, but then for some reason it was deleted

As for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart system requirements for a ray tracing game, users need to prepare for the following:

“Incredible ray tracing” (1440p at 60fps or 4K at 30fps, high graphics and ray tracing settings)

  • Operating system: Windows 10 (64 bit, version 1909 or newer);
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-11600K or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X;
  • Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT;
  • RAM: 16GB;
  • Storage space: 75 GB (SSD).

“Absolute Ray Tracing” (4K, 60 fps, high graphics settings and very high ray tracing settings)

  • Operating system: Windows 10 (64 bit, version 1909 or newer);
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-12700K or AMD Ryzen 9 5900X;
  • Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 or AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX;
  • RAM: 32GB;
  • Storage space: 75 GB (SSD).

The PC version of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart gets support for DirectStorage 1.2 technology and data decompression using the GPU, adaptive streaming and ray tracing for shading objects (reflections on PS5 only).

They also promise support for ultra-wide monitors (21:9, 32:9, 48:9) in gameplay and cutscenes, NVIDIA DLAA anti-aliasing technology and intelligent scaling (DLSS 3, FSR 2, XeSS) as well XeGTAO shading from Intel.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is coming to Steam and the Epic Games Store on July 26th, two years after it premiered on PlayStation 5. Nixxes Software, also owned by Sony Interactive Entertainment, is helping bring the game to PC.
