Dino Crisis, Darkstalkers, Onimusha and others: Capcom asked which games fans want to see sequels and remakes

For more than 40 years on the market, the Japanese publisher and developer Capcom has accumulated so many franchises that choosing the next one for revival or continuation is not so easy. So the company turned to fans for help.

As the portal noted IGNrecently on the official Capcom website began “Super elections“- this is the position of a new survey for fans, in which they ask you to answer 10 questions about the company and its games.

The two most notable questions on the list are which Capcom franchises fans would like to see receive new installments (particularly sequels) or remakes based on modern technology.

There are 20 franchises to choose from for the revival, including Darkstalkers, Okami, Onimusha, Dino Crisis, Dead Rising, Mega Man and others. Among the options there are also series that have not been neglected by Capcom – Resident Evil, Monster Hunter, Devil May Cry.

The first three parts of Onimusha, Ace Attorney, Breath of Fire or Mega Man, the first two Gargoyle’s Quest, as well as Commando, Rival Schools, Nijiirocho No kiseKi and Final Fight are eligible for a potential remake.

This is not the first time Capcom has conducted such surveys (although this time the company did not skimp on the design), and there are no new parts of Dino Crisis, despite the undying interest of fans, on the horizon.

At the end of 2022, Embracer Group similarly inquired from fans about the potential return of Legacy of Kain – the company received more than 75 thousand responses, but since then she hasn’t said anything about it.
