Diablo IV has no place for the dark magic of internet connection manipulation – Blizzard punished players for exploiting a nifty loophole

Last week, players discovered a loophole in Diablo IV that allowed them to transfer their main character to the seasonal world, which is not possible under normal conditions. Blizzard has already fixed the issue and started penalizing violators.

Keep in mind that to activate the bug, you had to disconnect from the internet and then return to your friend’s seasonal world as an “eternal” character. Fans believed that by doing this they could incur Blizzard’s wrath, and they didn’t lose.

Adam Fletcher, Community Affairs Director, on the official Blizzard forums confirmedthis firm “Action was taken against some of the accounts related to this incident.”

In other words, Blizzard has suspended the accounts of some particularly crafty players who have exploited the vulnerability. The initiative was also confirmed by the forum participants Redditwhose prohibition was taken up by careless comrades.

As for the issue itself, the ability to move your main character from the Eternal World to the Seasonal World has been addressed by the Diablo IV developers in a recent hotfix.

In the meantime, the release of a major patch 1.1.1 is being prepared, which will increase class survivability, strengthen the legendary aspects of the barbarian and the wizard, add another chest tab and much more.

Diablo IV is available on PC (Battle.net), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S. Check out the full list of changes coming in 1.1.1 on the Blizzard website – The update will be released on August 8th.
