Development studio The Playroom and The Persistence became part of the PlayStation

PlayStation Studios President Hermen Hulst on the official PlayStation blog announced the addition of UK-based Firesprite Games to Sony Interactive Entertainment’s in-house studios.

Firesprite Games was founded in 2012 by members of Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Studio Liverpool. The studio became famous for such projects as the collection of mini-games The Playroom and the horror The Persistence.

According to Hulst, the technical and creative capabilities of the team will play a key role in the development “A wide range of our exclusive games”… Firesprite Games became the 14th member of PlayStation Studios.

“We are now a full-time PlayStation studio and have full support to nurture our legacy and create creative and technical innovation and delight PlayStation fans with truly unique games.”Firesprite Games Managing Director Graeme Ankers said.
