Denuvo removed from Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider and added DLSS support

Square enix updated two games about Lara Croft at once – Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider. With the patches, Denuvo protection was removed, and support for the latest version of DLSS technology was added.

As noted by NVIDIA, Rise of the Tomb Raider in 4K resolution on the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti received a frame rate increase of up to 75%, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider doubled. The latter also received an improvement in the shadow noise smoothing technology for the ray-traced mode.

Changes in patch 1013.0 for Rise of the Tomb Raider:

  • added support for NVIDIA DLSS latest version;
  • updates to the multiplayer structure in Epic Online Services;
  • various stability fixes, especially in DX12 mode.

Changes in patch 449.0 for Shadow of the Tomb Raider:

  • NVIDIA DLSS updated to the latest version;
  • added new improved shadow noise smoothing for ray tracing mode;
  • updates to the multiplayer structure in Epic Online Services;
  • fixed compatibility bugs with Intel graphics.

Updates for both parts are already available on Steam.
