Recall that insider Tom Henderson (Tom Hendersen) said last week, citing his own sources, that Dead Island 2 is said to be in decent shape and could be released as early as late 2022.

During the Embracer Group presentation, the chair of the session mentioned the rumors surrounding Dead Island 2 and said that he expects the game to be released in the next fiscal year, which is April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023.

Vingefors did not directly confirm or deny the interlocutor’s statement, but recalled that Embracer Group announced an unannounced AAA class project for the specified period.

“I can’t talk about Dead Island 2 because the publisher hasn’t announced it. But we just discussed an unannounced AAA project that we have. They think this is Dead Island 2, so I find it difficult to comment further on this issue.— shared Vigefors.

Recall that Dead Island 2 was presented back in June 2014 and since then it has managed to change several development studios – since August 2019 the British Dambuster Studios (Homefront: The Revolution) are involved in the project.

According to unconfirmed information, the PC version of Dead Island 2 will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store, and the console version will be limited to current generation consoles. The game was initially announced for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
