Independent French studio Motion Twin informed on the release of Break the Bank, the next content update for his hardcore action-platformer Dead Cells, on PC and consoles.
Break the Bank’s main innovation is the optional “Bank” location that appears along the path after the user reaches the King’s Hand for the first time, replacing one of the main biomes on the way to the finale.
In addition, Break the Bank adds three new enemies, weapons (bound to gold) and mutations (also), two themed skins, and also makes a number of balance adjustments and bug fixes. The full list of changes is here steam.
Motion Twin also thanked the players for their support and announced that new additions and patches for Dead Cells are planned for next year (at least): “Some of this content makes us very, very happy…”
Dead Cells is available on PC (Steam, GOG), PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android devices. Since its release in August 2018, the game has sold over 6 million copies worldwide.
