User RMK has released a stealthrunner mod for Cyberpunk 2077 that adds elements in the spirit of the Deus Ex and Dishonored series to the game’s stealth component.
Stealthrunner adds five stealth-related objectives (pass without killing, attack, detect or suspect, and rescue residents) to all quests to which this approach is applicable. This applies to main and side missions, assignments (gigs) and tasks of the Night City Police Department (NCPD Scanner Hustles). In addition, the mod introduces a new leveling tree with 11 perks that unlock new abilities including pickpocketing, CCTV hacking without a cyberdeck, an energy shield that reduces damage in combat, and a reduced footstep hearing range.
For completing tasks, players will receive experience points, street reputation (Street Cred) and the ability to “Ninjutsu” (Ninjutsu), as well as money and blueprints. Completing a certain number of objectives of each type brings separate rewards, including skill points, access to new perks, and blueprints for the new iconic weapons.
The author emphasized that the mod should not be considered large-scale processing of the stealth component: work on such improvements would take a lot of time (special refinement, according to his remark, requires enemy AI). Stealthrunner only does existing stealth gameplay “more exciting”.
The mod is available on Nexus Mods. On his page you will find a detailed description of all new tasks, abilities and rewards.
In the comments on the trailer, users named the mod “unbelievable”. “I have a question for the developers, — wrote RMJ1984. — Why the hell isn’t this in the main game? Maybe they don’t understand how popular good stealth gameplay is?
On March 12th, Cyberpunk 2077 received the first release of the HD Reworked Project, a high-resolution texture pack created by modder Halk Hogan. In the past he created a similar modification for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which was later included in the extended edition by the developers of CD Projekt RED.
Rebalance Megamod will also help improve the game (balance changeseffects on AI, skills, stats, weapons, armor and more), subway system (adds a full 19-station subway), Let There Be Flight (allows cars Fly) And Improved environment LODs (increases the level of detail of the environment).
Last week, CD Projekt RED clarified that the advanced ray tracing mode Ray Tracing: Overdrive will be coming to Cyberpunk 2077 on April 11th for PC. Now the studio is continuing to work on the Phantom Liberty story expansion, which will be released on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S before the end of 2023.
