Corsair has announced the MP600 Pro LPX Series SSDs in the M.2 2280 form factor. The products are fully compatible with the Sony PlayStation 5 (PS5) gaming console.
The novelties are realized using 3D TLC NAND flash memory chips: the technology provides for the storage of three bits of information in one cell. The devices are equipped with an aluminum heat sink.
The PCIe 4.0 x4 interface is used for data exchange. The MP600 Pro LPX family consists of two models – with a capacity of 1 and 2 TB. The speed of sequential reading of information in both modifications reaches 7100 MB / s, the speed of sequential writing is 5800 and 6800 MB / s, respectively.
Supports encryption of information using the AES algorithm with a key length of 256 bits. The mean claimed time between failures (MTBF) reaches 1.6 million hours.
The dimensions of the drives, taking into account the heat sink, are 80 × 23 × 11 mm. The manufacturer grants a five-year guarantee on new items. Price – $185 and $370 for modifications with a capacity of 1 and 2 TB.
