Corsair will release updated versions of the RMx Shift series power supplies. New items with a modular design provide a non-standard location of connectors for connecting cables. Photos of one of the PSU models divided on Twitter, a popular leaker under the nickname momomo_us.
A key feature of the revised models of Corsair RMx Shift power supplies will be the routing of connectors from the rear, which is deep into the case, to the side.
Most of today’s computer cases are designed with new component layout standards in mind. They have hidden niches and cable channels for running cables behind the back wall. Despite this, even the lower location of the PSU and the metal case that completely hides it do not allow convenient organization of the installation of components inside the case. Especially when there are a lot of these components, and they all require additional power from the PSU. The new solution in Corsair RMx Shift is intended to make it easier to install new components in the system unit.
The updated Corsair RMx Shift series of power supplies will be available in 1200W, 1000W and 850W models. They are manufactured according to the ATX 3.0 standard and are 80 PLUS Gold certified. Support for new graphics cards with a PCIe 5.0 power scheme is also offered. However, they do not have their own 12+4 pin 12VHPWR connector. Support for the same GeForce RTX 40-series accelerators is provided via an included adapter.
