Best known for the social stealth action series Hitman, the Danish studio is currently developing a James Bond game (codenamed Project 007) and an untitled online fantasy RPG.

As noted by the portal IGNIn Microsoft documents, the online role-playing game from IO Interactive is called Project Dragon (this name also appeared in insider reports) and is an RPG shooter for PC, Xbox Series X and S.

Thus, Project Dragon will be exclusive to the Xbox console (previously there were only rumors) and Xbox Game Studios will take care of the publication. At least that was the case at the time the document was written in May 2021.

“The world and the game are built on the core principles of entertaining and expanding the players over the years. She looks familiar, but at the same time IOI embarks on a new adventure.— said in IO Interactive about the game at the announcement.

Earlier Microsoft documents revealed that the American platform owner was eyeing the purchase of IO Interactive. Information on Project Dragon is included on the studio’s information page in connection with its takeover bid.
