Publisher Prime Matter and Canadian studio Nine Dots have shared the details of an enhanced version of their role-playing game with survival elements from Outward in a new development diary.

As has been announced, Outward: Definitive Edition (as the bundle is called) contains the main game, the expansions The Three Brothers and The Soroboreans as well as new content and numerous improvements.
In particular, Outward: Definitive Edition will feature new diseases, unique enemies in dungeons and additional options for developing events in case of failure, more accessible crafting and much more.
Outward: Definitive Edition is being made for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X and S. Owners of the base game and these two add-ons on PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store), PS4 and Xbox One will be able to upgrade to the Enhanced Edition for free.
As for the timing of the release of Outward: Definitive Edition, the development diary only sounds “soon”while the portal gematsu claims to be released in May. After release, Nine Dots will switch to new projects.
