Colorful introduced a set of dual-channel CVN ICICLE DDR5-6600 RAM with a total capacity of 32GB (2 × 16GB). The product is aimed at overclocking enthusiasts, but at the same time it has an attractive price.

According to the manufacturer, the new memory modules use DRAM Hynix A die chips with high overclocking potential. The colorful CVN ICICLE DDR5 memory modules support Intel XMP 3.0 overclocking profiles, but their overclocking potential is not limited to just one manufacturer preset.
With a standard DDR5-6600 profile, the Colorful CVN ICICLE RAM kit works with CL34 timings and a voltage of 1.4 V. However, as part of internal experiments, Colorful specialists managed to get one of the CVN ICICLE DDR5-6600- Memory modules in addition to overclocking an effective frequency of 10,708 MHz (10,708 MT/s) at times of 56-126-126-127-127-2, which was very close to the world record of 11,136 MT/s.
As already mentioned, this result was achieved thanks to the high-quality layout of the CVN ICICLE memory modules. They are based on printed circuit boards made of 10-layer textolite, which ensures high stability and reliability of signal transmission. In addition, the Intel Core i7-13700K processor used in the test system only had three active cores whose clock frequency was reduced to 764.84 MHz. This was done to ensure the memory controller gets all the performance it needs and to reduce the overall power consumption of the processor for clearer and cleaner signaling between the CPU and RAM.
It should also be noted that the Colorful CVN ICICLE DDR5 memory modules are equipped with RGB backlit heat sinks. It supports control via any popular backlight control software from ASUS, MSI, ASRock and Gigabyte.
