As has become known, a patch for Chrono Trigger will be released on PC (Steam) and mobile devices with iOS and Android on March 11th (next Friday), which will bring several new features with it.
They will add support for full-screen mode with an aspect ratio of up to 21:9 and a speed of one and a half automatic battles, increase the number of memory cells to 20 and improve performance. In particular, a number of additional materials will also appear in the mobile version.
The Chrono Trigger trailer released to accompany the announcement (attached above) demonstrates the listed features of the upcoming update. The video is only available in Japanese for now.
Chrono Trigger released on the SNES in 1995, hit iOS and Android in 2011, and made it to PC in 2018. At launch, the PC version was criticized for the poor quality of the port (it turned out to be from mobile devices), but subsequently the game was actively corrected.
