OLED technology is gradually moving from the category of expensive niche solutions to the mainstream. According to the analysts from UBI Research, Chinese manufacturers alone presented 76 smartphone models with corresponding screens in the first five months of this year.

In May alone, Chinese smartphone manufacturers launched 20 OLED models. The leading provider in terms of the number of such devices was Vivo, which presented 21 models in the reporting period. Xiaomi came second with 19 models.
According to the South Korean edition of The Elec, before the US imposed sanctions on Huawei, the company was the leading supplier of smartphones with OLED displays among Chinese companies. The start of a trade war by the United States has seriously undermined the company’s position in the smartphone market. Now Huawei’s place is quickly being conquered by Vivo and Xiaomi, quickly climbing the pedestal of leaders in smartphones with OLED.
