As it became known, as part of a strategic investment, a minority stake in Rebel Wolves was acquired by the Chinese publishing house NetEase Games. Funding from his side will help the studio focus on development.

Despite outside investment, Rebel Wolves will remain fully independent and retain full creative control over and all rights to its intellectual property.

Rebel Wolves’ debut project will be a big-budget (AAA) dark fantasy role-playing game with an emphasis on story and player selection. The release is expected for PC and current generation consoles. The Unreal Engine 5 is chosen as the engine.

In addition to Tomashkevich, Rebel Wolves also includes other former developers of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077. The studio is currently looking for specialists from a wide variety of fields.
