Before users of the action role-playing game Cyberpunk 2077 had time to complain about the loss of passive skills after patch 2.01, the problem had already been fixed. But not the developers of CD Projekt RED, but a simple modder.
We would like to remind you that due to a bug that appeared as a result of a recent update in Cyberpunk 2077, many passive skills no longer work properly and some skills no longer work since the release of version 2.0.
The issue caught attention on the Reddit forum and one of its members decided to take matters into his own hands. In just a few days, user MethodOfExhaustion (rmk1234 on Nexus Mods) did And Approved A mod that solves the problem on PC.
In total, the rmk1234 mod repairs 16 passive skills from all five branches (Engineer, Killer, NetRunner, Shinobi, Solo). The modder has not subjected himself to the skill “Netrunner 60” (“It’s basically broken.”). The rest of the rewards work.
The modder believes the issue stems from the way the game applies bonuses: “They are now completely preserving something that they didn’t preserve before. This fixes another bug that they tried to fix but revealed a flaw in the logic.”.
In the comments on Nexus Mods and Reddit, user rmk1234 (MethodOfExhaustion) thanks for the work done and complains about the problems with version 2.01: “This patch did more harm than good”.
However, the matter will not be limited to corrections made by the modder: on Reddit reportthat CD Projekt RED is already addressing the problem. It is likely that his solution will be part of one of the future updates for Cyberpunk 2077.
