A week ago, an enthusiast under the pseudonym Jens Andree released the Patch 1.3 AVX Fix modification. He manually adjusted 33 Advanced Vector Extensions (AVX) call instructions to fix crashes on older processors, but CD Projekt RED took a different path. Developers wrote in the studio’s microblog: “We have released a fix for Cyberpunk 2077 on PC. It removes the use of the AVX instruction set from the game executable, which prevents crashes that occur on older processors that do not support AVX. Game version [с релизом] this fix is unchanged and remains 1.3 “

Recall: Cyberpunk 2077 was released on December 10, 2020 on PC, PS4, Xbox One, GeForce Now and Google Stadia. Variants of the game for PS5, Xbox Series X and Series S are planned to be released before the end of this year, but CDPR warned that it may not be in time.
