It was previously reported that Phantom Liberty Cyberpunk 2077 will add the Dog City area, a new type of quest (street stories), an additional ending for the main game and its wide-ranging improvements (leveling, police, AI, etc.).

In addition to Dog City, the addon will add a new zone near the Orbital Air Space Center, additional roads in Wasteland, and a number of buildings and other elements in Night City (including vehicles, clothing, weapons).

Players also report at least three new radio stations, a higher character level cap of 70, a redesigned smartphone interface, and a GTA V-style car purchase system.

Phantom Liberty introduces car chase combat (first and third person perspective).

In Phantom Liberty, among other things, players have the ability to shoot through the wheels of the car and redistribute skill points and traits (there is no need to create a new character). The authors also added a “charge” for grenades and healing items.

What Phantom Liberty will not include are new samurai songs, additional character creation options, and vehicle customization. Driving (practically) and shooting (completely) haven’t really changed.

Phantom Liberty will be released on September 26th, 2023 on PC (Steam, GOG, EGS), PS5, Xbox Series X and S. Before the release of the add-on, CD Projekt RED will release a major patch 1.7 – this will take place on September 9th at the earliest .
