“CD Projekt is not for sale”: The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077 development studio dismissed the rumors and confirmed the upcoming release of the Phantom Liberty add-on

“Nothing has changed for us. I can reiterate what we’ve said over the years. CD Projekt is not for sale. We want to remain independent”explained Adam Kicinski, CEO of CD Projekt.

In terms of financial results, CD Projekt’s net profit amounted to PLN 69.7 million ($16.5 million) in the first quarter of 2023, which is 1% more than in the same period of 2022.

At the same time, the group’s annual sales fell by 19% from PLN 216.1 to 174.8 million (that is, from USD 51.2 million to USD 41.5 million), while the operating profit fell by 16% from PLN 85.3 to 71.5 million zlotys (from 20.2 million dollars) fell to 17 million dollars).

In June, CD Projekt RED is preparing to launch a promotional campaign for Cyberpunk 2077’s first and final story expansion, Phantom Liberty. According to the report, the add-on will be playable as part of Summer Game Fest: Play Days.

The Phantom Liberty expansion is slated to release later this year (possibly this summer) on PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store), PS5, Xbox Series X, and S. DLC will be the last internal CDPR project RED Engine.
