Remember that in Game Informer’s Resident Evil 4 February gameplay video, the audience didn’t like the excessively high intensity of heavy rain – the downpour degraded visibility and distracted from gameplay.
The effect proved so annoying that they even started comparing it to the one from Grand Theft Auto III – The Definitive Edition. Rockstar’s troubled remaster of the action classic drew criticism for its horrific weather effects, among other things.
Fans were hoping that Capcom would listen to them and fix the rain in Resident Evil 4 remake ahead of its upcoming release. Judging by Hirabayashi’s Press Start comment, that seems to be the case.
“We’ve seen a general reaction to the effects of rain [в ремейке Resident Evil 4] and are working on making adjustments in the first day patch.”Hirabayashi assured the journalist of the Australian portal.
The Resident Evil 4 remake features redesigned graphics, new enemies and weapons, redesigned bosses, expanded gameplay options, a more useful Ashley, a noticeably smaller QTE, and up to six control options.
Resident Evil 4 will be available in stores in two weeks, on March 24th, for PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S. The first reviews of the remake are expected at the end of next week.
