Publisher Activision is preparing to translate its series of military shooters Call of Duty into a new format. But not a film or series, as one might think when looking at the latest trends, but a board game.

Call of Duty: The Board Game will offer as elite soldiers (35mm scale action figures) to battle each other with their favorite weapons on legendary Call of Duty maps.
The events of Call of Duty: The Board Game unfold in the wake of the Modern Warfare 2019 relaunch. The authors intend to recreate the video game experience with innovative combat, movement, and field of view mechanics.
Call of Duty: The Board Game is being developed by board game experts Arcane Wonders together with Genuine Entertainment and Evolution. They promise strategic gameplay, a choice of scenarios and modes.
Pre-orders for Call of Duty: The Board Game will open this fall as part of the Kickstarter fundraiser, with a full release expected in 2024. The basic set for two people costs $50, and for a four-player game it is possible to combine several sets.
