Buyers of Resident Evil 7, 2 and 3 on Steam have the option to revert to the non-ray tracing version of games

The Japanese publisher and developer Capcom informed about the return of versions of Resident Evil 7, Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 to the Steam service without the technical improvements that have been added recently.

Keep in mind that the updates that debuted on June 14 added support for ray tracing and improved three-dimensional sound to the games listed, but also increased the minimum system requirements.

Capcom listened to the criticism and added the option to return to the version without ray tracing but with DirectX 11 support. To do this, select the option via the properties of the game (“Beta versions” tab) in the Steam library from dx11_non-rt.

Resident Evil 7, Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 also debuted on PS5, Xbox Series X and S with the release of said patches. Upgrades from PS4 and Xbox One are free, but those who have activated a copy of RE7 from the PS Plus collection problems.
