Portal Games Industry shared information on sales of retail editions of games in the UK from September 26 to October 2, 2021. The reporting period was marked by the debut of FIFA 22.
The new Electronic Arts football simulator started better than all other games in the region this year, but lost more than 35% to the previous part (over 42% in the case of FIFA 20).
For comparison: the digital version of FIFA 21 at the start sold 31% better than last year (at that time), for the first time in the history of the series, overtaking retail editions in sales.
It is reported that the most popular FIFA 22 was on consoles of the past generation: 41% of copies sold were on PS4, 27% on Xbox One, 23% on PS5, 5% on Nintendo Switch and 4% on Xbox Series X and S.
Closes the top three of the new rating of Sonic Colors: Ultimate – a remaster of the action-platformer Sonic Colors. The game debuted on September 7, but the release in European retail detained until October 1…
Another successful debutant – arcade racing game Hot Wheels Unleashed from the studio Milestone – is located on the fourth line, barely holding back the onslaught of the Switch-version of Minecraft.
The releases of last week did not stay in their places: the detective action movie Lost Judgment dropped to 40th position, and the director’s version of Death Stranding completely flew out of the top 40.
