Bluepoint Games was founded in 2006 and has since grown to 70 employees. The studio has a proven track record of producing quality remasters and remakes, including Shadow of the Colossus and Demon’s Souls.

“Joining PlayStation Studios will help our team achieve even better quality and provide the PlayStation community with even more exciting entertainment.”– says the president of Bluepoint Games Marco Thrush.

In an interview IGN Thrush mentioned that after joining PlayStation Studios, the team will be engaged in an independent project (not a remake or re-release) – development has already begun.

The Demon’s Souls remake debuted simultaneously with the PlayStation 5 on November 12, 2020. The game received high ratings in the press (over 90 out of 100% on Metacritic). By September 19, 2021, project sales reached 1.4 million copies
