Blizzard Seeks Staff To Develop Open World Multiplayer RPG FPS

One of Blizzard Entertainment’s next games could be an open-world first-person shooter with RPG mechanics and multiplayer. This assumption is suggested by details from the text of the new vacanciespublished on the official website of the company.

Blizzard Entertainment is looking for “Talented and enthusiastic” junior content designer for an unannounced project. “As a Junior Content Designer, you will work closely with the design team to fill our play spaces with immersive content that matches the visual style and ambiance of imagery from concept and environment artists. – says the announcement. – You will also analyze the feedback from the playtests and work with your colleagues to decide what action to take. “

Junior content designer will “Create and implement new events in the open world throughout the entire development period – from the concept stage to the final stages of” polishing “… Also his duties include “Technical implementation and support of existing events and content of the open world, taking into account the creative foundations of the game”

The candidate must have experience in creating game content, developing first person shooters, online or multiplayer projects, and working with Unity, UDK (Unreal Development Kit) or similar tools. In addition, you need to understand “Reward mechanics used in RPGs”

Perhaps we are talking about a project for which Blizzard was looking for employees in the spring. In March, job vacancies were published for specialists in various fields with experience working on first-person shooters and action games for an unannounced AAA-class game with multiplayer and “Epic, memorable worlds.” It also cannot be ruled out that the vacancy is related to an experimental prototype that may not turn into a full-fledged game, as happened with the stealth action StarCraft: Ghost and the MMORPG Titan.

Blizzard Entertainment’s games in production include three: Diablo IV, Overwatch 2, and Diablo Immortal. The fourth numbered Diablo and the sequel to Overwatch are being created for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One (the second is also announced for Nintendo Switch) and do not even have an approximate release date. Diablo Immortal will launch on iOS and Android mobile devices in the first half of 2022.

In March, Blizzard Entertainment Senior Vice President Allen Adham announced that she had “Almost gone” games to create remasters and therefore one can hope for completely new ones. In May, World of Warcraft Development Director Ion Hazzikostas promised that the company would soon reveal several secret projects.

Diablo II: Resurrected was released on September 23rd for PC, PlayStation and Xbox two generations, as well as Nintendo Switch. Last week, the developers rolled back an update for the PlayStation 5, which stopped the game from launching for many users, and told in detail about the causes of the network problems of the remaster.
