It looks like the druids doing billions in damage won’t be brutal much longer in the fantasy action RPG Diablo IV. Blizzard Entertainment developers have confirmed that they will be nerfing character builds that are too strong.
As a reminder, skilled players could use the Druid’s Rend skill competently to inflict critical hits that were more than 1000% stronger than usual, resulting in astronomical damage indicators.
As it turned out, such values were not included in the developers’ plans. In an opinion PC gamer A Blizzard spokesman warned: “This behavior is not intentional. In the near future the team will make changes to improve balance.”.
Blizzard did not specify exactly when changes can be expected, but is based on Current interview Diablo IV development lead Joe Shely of Forbes, the easing is expected on July 18 with a pre-season patch.
According to the developer, the team “Some things will have to be weakened, because we can’t constantly increase everything”. A more detailed list of changes to the biggest update in Diablo IV history should be expected closer to release.
The first season of Diablo IV is called “Season of the Malignant” and begins on July 20th. Players are waiting for a new campaign, a story about a new kind of Lilith’s corruption, a quest chain, a boss, dungeons and a battle pass.
Diablo IV was released June 6th on PC (Battle.net), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series at least not yet.
