BlackBerry-style smartphone with physical QWERTY keyboard and Android appeared on Kickstarter

The smartphone project Unihertz Titan Slim, made in the style of BlackBerry devices, successfully debuted on the Kickstarter crowdfunding platform. The initiative has already raised nearly $500,000 and is just 27 days away from closing on funding.

The novelty will be equipped with a 4.2-inch display with a resolution of 1280 × 728 pixels. Below this screen is a QWERTY keyboard with four rows of keys.

The “heart” of the smartphone is the MediaTek Helio P70 processor. The chip combines four Cortex-A73 cores with a frequency of up to 2.1 GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores with a frequency of up to 2.0 GHz. MP3 accelerator Mali-G72 is busy processing graphics. An integrated modem provides support for LTE cellular communication.

The equipment includes 6 GB of DDR4-1600 RAM, a 256 GB flash drive, WLAN 5 and Bluetooth 4.1 wireless adapters, an NFC controller and an FM tuner.

There is an 8-megapixel front camera and a 48-megapixel rear camera. Power is supplied by a 4100 mAh battery. Dimensions – 147 × 68 × 13 mm, weight – 204 g. The Android 11 operating system is used. Now the price of the device is around 250 US dollars.
