Biostar has released a series of teasers announcing the preparation of next generation motherboards for gaming desktops. The products will be based on the Intel Z690 system logic set.
We are talking about motherboards for Intel Alder Lake processors in the LGA 1700 version. As you can see in the images, the models of the Valkyrie and Racing series will debut.
The Z690 platform will bring the ability to use DDR5 RAM. Observers believe that Biostar will release boards for Alder Lake both with support for this standard and with support only for DDR4.
The Intel Z690 chipset will provide support for up to 12 PCIe 4.0 lanes, up to four USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 ports, several dozen slower USB ports, six SATA 6Gb / s connectors and Wi-Fi 6E / 7 wireless communication.
It is also worth adding that computers based on Alder Lake will support the PCIe 5.0 interface. Gaming desktops on this platform are already being prepared by well-known manufacturers, in particular, Lenovo.
