Biostar has announced motherboards called H610MX-E and H610MH based on the Intel H610 chipset. Both new products have a Micro-ATX form factor with dimensions of 208 × 236 mm.
It is allowed to install Intel processors in the LGA 1700 version: we are talking about twelfth-generation Core chips of the Alder Lake family. There are two slots for DDR4-1866/2133/2400/2666/2933/3200 RAM modules with a total capacity of up to 64GB.
The storage subsystem can combine four SATA 3.0 devices and one M.2 2240/2260/2280 SSD with PCIe 3.0 x4 or SATA interface. A PCIe 4.0 x16 slot is provided for a separate graphics accelerator. In addition, a PCIe 3.0 x1 slot is available for an optional expansion card.
New items are equipped with gigabit network controller Intel I219V and audio codec ALC897 format 7.1. The interface box includes a PS/2 jack for a mouse or keyboard, HDMI and D-Sub ports, two USB 3.2 (Gen1) and four USB 2.0 ports, a network cable jack and an audio jack.
The difference between the boards is that the H610MX-E model got an M.2 connector (E Key) that allows you to connect a Wi-Fi 6 or Wi-Fi 6E wireless adapter.
