Biostar introduces Z790A-SILVER board for Intel Raptor Lake with DDR5 and PCIe 5.0 support

Biostar introduced the Z790A-SILVER motherboard. The novelty was designed to build powerful gaming systems based on the 12th (Alder Lake) and 13th (Raptor Lake) generation of Intel Core processors. It supports DDR5 RAM and is equipped with a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot for graphics cards.

Biostar Z790A-SILVER claims to have support for up to 128GB of RAM. The novelty allows you to use DDR5-6400 memory through Intel XMP 3.0 overclocking profiles. In addition to PCIe 5.0 x16, the board received another PCIe 4.0 x16 slot (working in x4 mode) and two PCIe 3.0 x1.

To organize a permanent storage subsystem, the novelty has six SATA III ports (6 Gb / s) and three M.2 slots. The latter support the installation of PCIe 4.0 NVMe drives. There is also a seat for a wireless module Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, which is not included.

The Biostar Z790A-SILVER is equipped with an HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.2 connection as well as 15 USB ports: two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C, five USB 3.2 Gen2, two USB 3.2 Gen1 and six USB 2.0.

It also indicates support for 7.1-channel audio via the Realtek ALC1220 audio codec and devices with a 2.5 Gigabit network adapter. The manufacturer points out that the Biostar Z790A-SILVER has a fast BIOS update function.
