Biostar has announced the B660MX-E motherboard based on the Intel B660 chipset. The Micro ATX form factor is used, which makes the new product suitable for relatively compact desktop computers.

Installation of 12th generation Core processors in the LGA 1700 version from the Intel Alder Lake platform is supported. Two slots are available for DDR4-1866/…/4000(OC) RAM modules with a total capacity of up to 64 GB.
Four SATA 3.0 ports are available for connecting drives, and the M.2 connector allows installing a 2240/2260/2280 solid state drive with a PCIe 3.0 x4 or SATA interface.
The equipment includes an Intel I219V Gigabit network controller and an ALC897 7.1 audio codec. A separate graphics accelerator can be installed in the PCIe 4.0 x16 slot. There is also a PCIe 3.0 x1 slot for an optional expansion card. The M.2 connector (E Key) allows you to connect a wireless Wi-Fi 6 or Wi-Fi 6E adapter.
The plate dimensions are 236 × 208 mm. The interface panel includes a PS/2 jack, HDMI, D-Sub and DVI ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 and four USB 2.0 ports, a network cable jack and an audio jack.
