The almost four-minute video is dedicated to three new characters in Mortal Kombat 1. First, Reptile (aka Saizot) will appear in the game – a reptilian slave and werewolf from the outskirts of the outside world who can transform into a natural lizard.
The fans stayed delighted from the new version of the character: “It’s literally the best of both worlds: an obscure crocodile and a ninja”. “Returning the reptilian man with elements of a real lizard is a 10 out of 10 decision.”— hold fans.
Second, the trailer introduces viewers to Ashra, the demon of the underworld who has abandoned his evil ideology and is now fighting in quest of absolution. Her last full appearance was in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon.
Third, the developers confirmed Havik, an anarchist rebel from the oppressive kingdom of Seido intent on overthrowing his world’s regime. Uses his own severed limbs as weapons.
The featured video shows excerpts from the story scenes along with game footage for all three main fighters and also confirms another auxiliary character (cameo) – Sarina in her demonic form.
Mortal Kombat 1 is expected to release on September 19th on PC (Steam, EGS), PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and Nintendo Switch. From August 18th to 21st the beta test for the pre-ordered fighting game will take place on PlayStation and Xbox.
