Battlefield 2042’s second major update fixes vehicles and weapons

Electronic Arts and DICE have released the second major update to the online shooter Battlefield 2042. The patch includes vehicle adjustments that bring the LCAA Hovercraft, MD540 Nightbird, KA-520 Super Hokum, and AH-64GX Apache Warchief more balanced alignment with other vehicles.

The update also made changes to the mechanics of gunfights. For example, PP-29 now has stronger recoil, while most weapons have more uniform bullet dispersion. DICE also fixed several critical bugs, including situations where players could not be resurrected or revived properly. Finally, the developer has made general stability improvements to prevent occasional game crashes.

The studio is already working on the third major update for Battlefield 2042, which could be released next week. The update will be the largest ever released and will include a more significant set of changes, including increased productivity, balance adjustments and improvements in the overall quality of the project.

Battlefield 2042 is out on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
