Baldur’s Gate 3 players have found an absurd way to save Tieflings and Mintara – you have to turn her into a sheep

Despite their popularity, only a few can recruit the dark elf Mintara in Baldur’s Gate 3: To do so, they must make a series of morally controversial decisions and avoid other potential companions. However, it turns out that there is another way. More possible spoiler.

Modders already are problem solved Mintara recruitment by good characters but Taiwanese player pao870111 found a way (and ZookeepergameDeep360 from the Reddit forum reported it’s up to English-speaking players and even showed At Video) do this without changing the game – however, the dark elf must be transformed into a sheep for a short time.

In the first act, you must side with the Grove and agree to the elimination of the goblin leaders – Mintara must be incapacitated by non-lethal methods. After rescuing the Tieflings and reaching the Moon Towers teleport, you must return to Mintara in the goblin camp, turn her into a sheep and bend her to your will.

To perform the trick, you need the spells “Transformation” (4th level) and “Subdue the Beast” (7th level).

Together with Mintara, the sheep, you should then teleport back to the towers and, using the Improvised Weapon action, take her to the throne room for the court scene from the “evil” passage (at) with a character with high strength. At the same time, the player did nothing wrong at this point).

The path to the throne room is long, the guards are hostile to Mintara, the effect of the Transfiguration spell can end, and the sheep Mintara can simply run away and die. Additionally, the sheep/elf should be carefully placed on the ground between approaches to improvised weapons and not thrown.

After the negotiation scene ends, Mintara is sent to a cell where she can be recruited to the team. The developers at Larian Studios did not foresee this method of recruitment: the elf will continue to refer to the massacre in the grove, which in fact did not take place. But nothing can stop a possible romance.

It’s likely that Larian can fill this gap – it’s no coincidence that the developers designed some companions to be mutually exclusive. Last Friday, October 6th, Baldur’s Gate 3 was received ninth patchand judging by the fourth major patch SteamDBis already in progress.
