AyaNeo in the context of today video broadcasts announced that it would start taking pre-orders for the AyaNeo Air Plus portable game console on February 5 and launch the AyaNeo Slide model, equipped with a slider screen, in the second quarter. In addition, the manufacturer shared some details about the future AyaNeo Next 2 portable set-top box. All three new items will use the Windows operating system.
The AyaNeo Air Plus portable console was announced last summer. The model will feature a 6-inch IPS display with support for Full HD resolution (1920 × 1080 pixels) and a 46.2 Wh battery. In addition, it claims the presence of 8 GB of RAM and 64 GB of permanent storage, a USB4 port and RGB lighting. First of all, for AyaNeo Air Plus, the manufacturer announced the use of Intel Alder Lake processors (Pentium Gold 8505 and Core i3-1215U), as well as an unnamed processor from the AMD Mendocino series.
Today, AyaNeo announced the name of the Mendocino series processor – it’s a quad-core, eight-thread Ryzen 5 7520U running at up to 4.3 GHz. The chip uses the Zen 2 architecture and is equipped with an integrated Radeon 610M graphics core based on the RDNA 2 architecture.In addition, the company decided to base the Air Plus model on a more powerful Ryzen 7 6800U with eight cores and 16 threads to be released at 4.7 GHz, which is equipped with integrated Radeon 680M graphics. The prefix is produced in white and black body colors.
Portable set-top box maker AyaNeo Slide will launch in the second quarter of this year. A feature of this model is a sliding screen, under which the keyboard is hidden. AyaNeo Slide was originally supposed to use the Ryzen 7 6800U processor. However, today the company announced that this console will receive one of the models of mobile processors of the latest Ryzen 7000 series, which the manufacturer has not yet specified. Remember that the mobile Ryzen 7000 series consists not only of chips based on the latest Zen 4 architecture, but also includes models based on Zen 3, Zen 3+ and Zen 2 architectures.
The mobile processor of the AMD Ryzen 7000 series will also receive the upcoming flagship of the portable game console AyaNeo Next 2. The novelty will be equipped with a screen with a diagonal of more than 8 inches. The most interesting feature of AyaNeo Next 2 will be the discrete GPU. The company does not yet specify the GPU model, only stating that it uses “new discrete graphics”. The manufacturer promised to release more information about AyaNeo Next 2 very soon.
