Images of Chinese electric vehicle maker Nio’s debut smartphone, which will be unveiled next week on September 21, have surfaced online. At the recent presentation of the second generation NIO EC6 electric crossover, the smartphone was captured by the camera several times, which allowed us to get an idea of its design.

Judging by the images, the Nio smartphone has a large screen surrounded by thin frames, with a front camera located in a hole on the top. An under-screen fingerprint scanner is used to unlock the device.
The Nio smartphone managed to appear in the Antutu Mobile benchmark, which made some of its parameters known. The application states that the smartphone is equipped with an eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, 12GB of RAM and a 1TB flash drive.
According to reports, the Nio smartphone will also be available in 16GB RAM and 1TB flash storage and 16GB RAM and 512GB flash storage configurations.
On September 15, the Nio smartphone received certification from China Compulsory Certification (CCC), which revealed more details about the upcoming smartphone. In particular, the assembly of the Nio smartphone is carried out by Lens Technology from Hunan Province. This company supplies Apple with lenses and related components for the iPhone and has also been working with Tesla for more than two years. Additionally, the certificate states that the smartphone supports 100W fast charging.
The Nio smartphone is expected to be integrated into electric vehicle control systems, which will make driving more comfortable and convenient.
