Atlus promised not to release an extended edition of Persona 3 Reload, but no one canceled paid DLC

Japanese publisher Atlus has taught players that Persona games receive expanded editions a few years after their original release. However, last week’s Persona 3 Reload appears to be going in a different direction.

Let us remind you that Persona 3 Reload is a remake of the original Persona 3, and therefore was left without some elements from other editions of the game: the epilogue of The Answer from FES or the female protagonist from Portable.

It could be assumed that the missing content would appear in Persona 3 Reload with the release of an expanded edition similar to Persona 4 Golden and Persona 5 Royal, but Atlus has no plans to release an expanded version.

Recently, Persona team production department head Kazuhisa Wada named remake “complete experience”for which they do not prepare “significant changes and expansions” in the spirit of upgrading Persona 5 to Persona 5 Royal.

At the same time, data miners discovered The code for Persona 3 Reload mentions the game’s season pass, which contains six paid DLCs, including Episode Aigis (aka The Answer), new packs with music, costumes and items.

The find confirms recent words insider Midori (MbKKssTBhz5 in X) that over the course of a year from the release, Persona 3 Reload will receive a number of additions, among which there will not be a female protagonist, but there will be The Answer.

Persona 3 Reload was released on February 2 on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S. The game costs $70, but is also available on Game Pass. The project’s rating on Metacritic is 88%, and on Steam it has “extremely positive” (97%) reviews.
