ASUS is preparing to release the ROG Maximus Z790 Apex Encore motherboard, designed specifically for overclockers. It is an updated version of the Apex model that was released last year.
Unlike other leading manufacturers who have decided to add the prefix X (Gigabyte Z790 Model their own unique titles such as Dark Hero or simply II .
The Z790 Apex model belongs to the class of enthusiast motherboards and is designed specifically for fans of overclocking computer components. Like many other boards with the same profile, the ROG Maximus Z790 Apex Encore only comes with two DIMM slots for RAM modules. In addition, the new product has an additional ROG DIMM M.2 slot, designed to install a special two-slot expansion card for NVMe drives.
The board’s features include two PCIe 5.0 x16 slots, four M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 ports, one M.2 NVMe PCIe 5.0, four SATA III, USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A and Type-C ports and a 2.5 Gigabit Intel I225-V network controller, 8-channel audio codec Realtek ALC4080. In addition, the new product supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 and is also equipped with RGB backlighting.
The ROG Maximus Z790 Apex Encore is already listed at several European retailers. In the database of the Finnish retailer Proshop, for example, the price is 840 euros (including VAT).
