ASUS updates Vivobook laptops with Intel Raptor Lake-H processors

ASUS has unveiled six updated Vivobook series laptops. The list of new products includes the Vivobook 14 OLED (X1405), Vivobook 15 OLED (X1505), Vivobook 16 (X1605) as well as the cheaper Vivobook 14 (X1404), Vivobook 15 (X1504) and Vivobook 17 (X1704). . The first three have moved to the new 13th Gen Intel Core H processors. The last three received energy-efficient Intel Alder Lake-U processors (Core 12th generation).

The Vivobook 14 OLED (X1405), Vivobook 15 OLED (X1505) and Vivobook 16 (X1605) offer 16 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM and up to 1 TB of SSD storage. The novelty received support for the Wi-Fi 6E wireless standard and is equipped with batteries up to 50 Wh.

Vivobook 14 OLED and Vivobook 15 OLED are ready, OLED screens with resolution up to 2.8K (2880 × 1620 pixels), 120Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, 0 response time, 2 ms and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 600 certification, the younger model has a screen with an aspect ratio of 16:10. The 15-inch version got a 16:9 OLED display. All screens are certified by TÜV Rheinland for reduced emissions of harmful blue light. In turn, the VivoBook 16 model received an IPS screen with WUXGA resolution (1920 × 1200 pixels) and an aspect ratio of 16:10.


The equipment of these laptop models includes USB-C 3.2 Gen1, two USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A, one USB 2.0 and HDMI 1.4 as well as a combined audio jack. Also new are webcams with security shutters, HD resolution support, and ASUS 3DNR technology that improves image quality.

In addition, new items are equipped with active noise-cancelling microphones, ASUS ErgoSense keyboards with 19.05 mm key travel, and can optionally be equipped with fingerprint scanners. The notebooks come in 100% recyclable packaging and are tested to MIL-STD-810H. The Vivobook 14 OLED (X1405), Vivobook 15 OLED (X1505) and Vivobook 16 (X1605) models will be available in black and silver body colors.

The cheaper models VivoBook 14 (X1404), VivoBook 15 (X1504) and VivoBook 17 (X1704) are very similar in performance to older models. They also got ErgoSense keyboards, a full set of external ports, but offer Intel Core-U Alder Lake processors and come with IPS screens that support 1920×1080 pixels. These notebook models are offered in silver, blue and terracotta.
