ASUS updates ExpertBook B5 laptops with 13th Gen Intel Core vPro processors

ASUS has updated its ExpertBook B5 line of laptops with two new models: ExpertBook B5 (B5402C) and ExpertBook B5 Flip (B5402F). Both laptops feature 13th Gen Intel Core vPro processors with advanced protection against digital threats.

ASUS ExpertBook B5 and B5 Flip laptops feature 14-inch displays with 1920 × 1080 pixels, 60 Hz refresh rate, and 400 cd/m22 and 100% coverage of the sRGB color space. The ExpertBook B5 Flip (B5402F) model has a touchscreen and can be opened 360 degrees, turning the laptop into a tablet. The laptop comes with an electronic pen.

Newcomers use Intel Raptor Lake-P vPro processors as a basis and can offer up to a 14-core Core i7-1370P model with a frequency of up to 5.2 GHz. Discrete graphics cards are not included in laptops. For graphics processing, the built-in graphics cores of processors are noted here – Intel Iris Xe or Intel UHD, depending on the chip model.

ExpertBook B5 (B5402C) and ExpertBook B5 Flip (B5402F) received 8GB of DDR5 RAM soldered onto the motherboard. The presence of a DIMM socket for each laptop model allows you to install an additional RAM bar and increase the total amount of RAM up to 40 GB. Also, updated laptop models offer the installation of two PCIe 4.0 NVMe solid state drives, each up to 1TB.

Support for wireless standards Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5 is announced for new products, the optional presence of a TPM 2.0 cryptographic hardware key, two Thunderbolt 4 interfaces (USB Type-C with an alternative charging function), as well as a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A , USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A, HDMI 2.1, LAN and 3.5mm combo audio jack.

The manufacturer specifies up to 12 hours of operation from a battery charge of 63 Wh for new products. In addition, compliance with the MIL-STD-810H safety standard is specified for new products.
