As part of CES 2022, ASUS announced Intel H670, B660 and B610 motherboards for Alder Lake processors. Of the five ROG Strix models presented, the cheapest ROG Strix B660-I Gaming WIFI is perhaps the most interesting.
The novelty is manufactured in a compact mini-ITX form factor, supports DDR5 RAM with a frequency of up to 6200 MHz, is equipped with a 2.5 GB network connection, supports the wireless Wi-Fi 6 network and offers also the installation of two NVMe SSDs with PCIe interface 4.0. Other features of the ROG Strix B660-I Gaming WIFI include the presence of a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, four SATA ports with support for RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 configurations and the possibility of installing up to 64 GB of RAM.
The mainboard also includes a USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C, three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A and three USB 2.0. The Intel I225-V 2.5 GbE controller is responsible for the wired network capabilities of the new product, Intel Wi-Fi 6 CNVi is responsible for the wireless ones. In addition, the board is equipped with a SupremeFX Realtek S1220A audio controller with support for five channels. The board is equipped with HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 connections.
The manufacturer has not said when the ROG Strix B660-I Gaming WIFI motherboard will be available in stores and how much it will cost.
