ASUS showed the upcoming gaming smartphone ROG Phone 8 with side USB-C for the first time

ASUS is preparing to release the eighth generation ROG Phone gaming smartphone. The manufacturer shared the first image of the future device, the official announcement of which is expected early next year.

The released image shows the back of the device with a new back cover and a pentagonal main camera island with one corner cut off. The ROG Phone 8’s camera block protrudes quite a bit above the device’s surface and will consist of three modules and an LED flash. The manufacturer has not yet announced the resolution of the modules.

The image also shows the presence of a USB-C port on the side of the device, just like the ROG Phone 7 smartphones.

ASUS is expected to unveil multiple versions of the ROG Phone 8. Previously, the ROG Phone 8 Ultimate variant was noted in the Geekbench benchmark database. According to the leak, the smartphone will receive the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and 24 GB of RAM. It is known from the Chinese regulatory authority 3C that the smartphone has been certified with a 65W charger.
