At CES 2022, ASUS unveiled a very unusual product called the Zenbook 17 Fold OLED. Formally, the manufacturer positions the device as a laptop, but externally it only looks distant. The Zenbook 17 Fold OLED has a fold-out 17.3-inch OLED touchscreen display.
In this form, the novelty can be used as a tablet and used as a stationary PC by turning the device into a horizontal position and connecting a wireless keyboard. When folded, the tablet resembles a laptop. The manufacturer claims that the device has been tested for 30,000 open / close cycles.
The screen takes up 87% of the front, has an aspect ratio of 4: 3 and supports a resolution of 2560 × 1920 pixels. The panel supports 100 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color space, a dynamic contrast ratio of 1,000,000: 1, a response rate of 0.2 ms and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The display is VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black and Pantone certified .
For the Zenbook 17 Fold OLED, the manufacturer is ready to offer the latest Intel Alder Lake-U processors up to the Core i7-1250U model, up to 16 GB LPDDR5 RAM and M.2 NVMe storage with PCIe 4.0 x4 support to offer. In addition, the support of the wireless standards Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6E with the exclusive Wi-Fi SmartConnect function, which improves the quality and stability of communication, is explained. It also indicates the presence of two Thunderbolt 4 (USB Type-C) ports with Easy Charge fast charging and a 3.5mm audio combo port.
The ASUS Zenbook 17 Fold OLED comes with a 1.4mm ErgoSense Bluetooth keyboard. The portable system also has four Harman Kardon speakers with Dolby Atmos sound support.

The weight of the novelty without keyboard is 1.6 kg. The company has not yet announced anything about the price and availability of the Zenbook 17 Fold OLED.
