ASUS introduces Prime Gold ATX 3.0 power supplies with power up to 850W

ASUS has introduced a line of Prime Gold power supplies. It includes models with a power of 750 and 850 watts. The manufacturer states that the novelties are intended for those who want to build an advanced gaming system, but are not ready to overpay for PSU models with much higher power.

ASUS Prime Gold power supplies are available in black and white and feature a fully modular cabling design. The new products are certified to the ATX 3.0 standard and are compatible with GeForce RTX 40 series graphics cards equipped with 12+4-pin 12VHPWR power connectors.

ASUS Prime Gold power supplies use high quality Japanese capacitors and other premium components. The manufacturer refers to the 80 Plus Gold certification, which certifies the high energy efficiency of the power supply. Fans with double-row roller bearings are used to cool the new products. Unfortunately, they do not have a full stop function at low loads. In addition, the manufacturer does not give any information about the size of the propellers.

The dimensions of the ASUS Prime Gold power supplies are 150 × 150 × 86 mm. Overcurrent protection (OCP), total power overload protection for all channels (OPP), overheating protection (OTP), overvoltage protection (OVP), short circuit protection (SCP) as well as mains undervoltage protection (UVP) are provided for new products. All models come with an eight-year manufacturer’s warranty.
