ASUS introduces GeForce RTX 4090 ROG Strix LC with maintenance-free GeForce RTX 3090 Ti LSS

ASUS introduced the GeForce RTX 4090 ROG Strix LC graphics card, which features a maintenance-free liquid cooling system. The new product uses the same LSS as the previous generation GeForce RTX 3090 Ti ROG Strix LC. Apparently, its performance is quite enough to cool the flagship accelerator based on the Ada Lovelace architecture.

The GeForce RTX 4090 ROG Strix LC itself features a full-surface water block that cools the AD102 GPU and GDDR6X memory chips. The fan present in the cooling system dissipates heat from the components of the graphics accelerator’s VRM power subsystem. The card occupies 2.6 expansion slots in a PC.

The water block of the ROG STRIX LC cooling system is connected to an external 240mm radiator via two flexible hoses with a length of 560mm. The heatsink is additionally cooled by two 120mm ARGB fans that provide high airflow and static pressure while maintaining low noise levels.

The GeForce RTX 4090 ROG Strix LC will be available with and without factory overclocking. Both feature a dual BIOS system with a silent and productive mode of operation. For a card without overclocking, the default GPU frequency is 2520MHz and the boost frequency is 2550MHz. The overclocked version has a default graphics chip frequency of 2610MHz and a boost frequency of 2640MHz.

The manufacturer did not provide any information on the price and date of sale of the GeForce RTX 4090 ROG Strix LC model. However, with the air-cooled RTX 4090 ROG Strix OC variant currently priced at $2,000, it’s very likely that the FSH version will come in at a significantly higher price point.
