At the disposal of the portal VideoCardz turned out to be images of ASRock’s upcoming Taichi, Extreme, Steel Legend and Phantom Gaming motherboards. All new items are based on the Intel Z690 chipset and are intended for use with the upcoming 12th generation Intel Core processors.
The portal notes that the source that provided the images of the mothers, unfortunately, did not share their technical characteristics. Therefore, at the moment it is not known which of the lighted models will require the use of the new DDR5 memory standard and will offer support for the new PCIe 5.0 interface.
The Z690 Taichi, Z690 Extreme and Z690 Steel Legend models will represent the senior segment of the manufacturer’s motherboards. However, ASRock is also developing a new Aqua series of motherboards, which feature a pre-installed liquid cooling water block for the processor.
After the manufacturer abandoned the Fatal1ty series of boards, its place was taken by the Phantom Gaming series, but it belongs to the lower segment of the offerings.
VideoCardz suggests that since until now there have been no leaks related to motherboards based on the mid-range H670, B660 and H610 chipsets, Intel could very likely save their announcement and release for a later date. In other words, at the end of this month we can expect the announcement of only older models of Intel Core processors of the 12th generation with an unlocked multiplier (K-series) and motherboards with the flagship Z690 chipset.
The release of Intel Alder Lake processors, as well as motherboards on the Z690 chipset, is expected on November 4.
